TITLE: School Psychologist

LOCATIONS: Parklane Elementary and Meadows Elementary School

FTE: 1.0

WORK HOURS: 7:30am - 3:30pm

START DATE: August 31, 2026

CONTRACT DAYS: 192 (will be prorated based on start date)

SALARY:  $50,046 - $100,092 Annually (will be prorated based on start date, pending negotions 2025-2026)

START DATE:  August 31, 2026, or when filled

 

Job Purpose Statement/s: The position of School Psychologist is for the purpose/s of assessing students’ intellectual and mental functional levels; providing information for program development and student placement, developing behavior plans; and providing information on child development and/or issues on specific students to instructional personnel.

 

Looking for a school-based team member to support students, families and staff, promote culture of positive mental health as well as conducting testing and completing paperwork.  Come join our dynamic team!  Special Education Records Manager to support clerical needs of building special education team.

 

Position is eligible to be placed at the MA+45 salary schedule for those who have a Masters degree requiring 60 credit hours (90 trimester hours) and a $2,000.00 annual stipend.

Job Requirements – Qualifications:

Skills to apply assessment instruments, intervene in crisis situations, provide counseling, interpret test data, and communicate effectively.

 

Knowledge of assessment instruments and their application, relevant education codes, state and district policies.

 

Abilities to sit for prolonged periods, complete a case study and develop an individual education plan, be flexible, work under time constraints, work effectively with staff, parents, students and community, work independently.  Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying, reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/visual accommodation.

 

Ability to speak a second language preferred.

Terms of Employment:  192 days per year.  Salary to be established by collective bargaining agreement.

 

Evaluation:  Performance of this job will be evaluated each year in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Licensed Staff.
