POSITION:  Testing Records Manager

LOCATION:  Centennial High School

HOURS:  7.5 Hours Per Day (7:30am - 3:30pm)

CALENDAR:  192 Days Per Year

SALARY:  $19.28 - $26.69 Per Hour (Range C)**

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT/S: The Testing Records Manager (CHS) is for the purpose of providing support to the school site administrator in the area of assessment.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as building test coordinator.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators and teachers.
  • Able to help students reset passwords and login to testing programs.
  • Monitor testing security and enforce testing rules.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate the use of labs, training for staff, site planning and resource planning.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, and the minimum oral/written instructions.
  • Continue training to remain knowledgeable about software, both new and upgrades.
  • Be proactive in developing new implementation plans for better utilization of building resources.
  • Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment.
  • Set up lab for student use each day; test all hardware and software; prepare daily schedule; shut down lab each day and secure all hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and make minor repairs.
  • Monitor computer lab period-by-period to insure proper use of equipment and adherence to lab rules.
  • Administer Oregon State Assessments, college entrance exams, and some interim assessments.
  • Work samples: Supervise student work sample completion; file and store completed work samples.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and databases with testing and work sample administration. Pull reports and student lists; build, develop, maintain testing and lab use calendars; supervise testing materials.
  • Prepare supports for testing environment: List of SSID numbers; Testing manuals; Set up lab. Submit work orders to IT or maintenance as needed for repairs.
  • Support Post-Secondary Access.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Keep records of computer lab use; order supplies and support materials.
  • Participate in long-range planning for computer lab use.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS – QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience Preferred:  Prior job related experience in a school; considerable personal computer and office experience.
  • Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:

General knowledge in computer hardware and software applications compatible with the computer lab; hardware and software troubleshooting techniques; principles, practices and techniques of instructional assistance related to area of assignment or the ability to quickly acquire and apply such knowledge.

 

General abilities in delivering instructional programs to students who have varying levels of computer skill aptitudes; dealing, in an empathetic manner, with students; work in a team situation; plan and organize work routines in an environment subject to unforeseen changes; work independently in the absence of direct teacher contact, to carry out the goals and objectives of instructional program; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

 

Abilities to sit for prolonged periods, understand and execute oral and written instructions, use good judgment in assigning priorities; show good judgment in identifying, handling and protecting confidential information and maintain the organization of student records/program.  Significant physical abilities include reaching/handling, fingering, talking/hearing conversations, near/far visual acuity/depth perception/visual accommodation.

 

Ability to speak a second language preferred.

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:  High school diploma or equivalent, some college education preferred.

 

LICENSES, BONDING AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED:  Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance (applicant agrees to assume cost upon offer of employment).

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
